This is great Ella, not the crappy 23-24 stuff that is but your social media game is so strong and great to watch. It's so good you can return to Canyon/SRAM after seemingly actually having a pretty good time there as a cyclist in at least some aspects. Early career/first option not going to plan happens for many of us (self included), so you're not alone! Anyway all the best in the very exciting new gig 👏
Well it hasn't been in more recent times but I'm endeavouring to change that, because keep a low profile is a bit boring! Very sage words, thank you Chris 🙌🏼
Hahaha I hope you can appreciate that I would have lost all Youtube followers if this was to be published in video form. And I would have lost my will to live recording it. Many thanks!
This was a bloody interesting read Ella. I really enjoyed it! I’ve always kept an eye on your exploits on the bike and have admired your resilience and tenacity. If that all falls through I’m sure you could walk in to a job in Dads outfit. 🫢
Thank you very much Richard! Ahaha well if you want another hot take of mine, I think you have to be going through some sort of quarter life/ identity crisis to join the police mid-late twenties. Maybe I'm perfect then 😅
Going back many many many years when you were very young aspiring runner I remember you being harassed by young people criticising your blog and the sharing your journey as an athlete in the making. You wrote about wanting to stop sharing your journey for all the tall poppy grief you were receiving at the time.
So happy to read your journey, I guess around 15 years later and where it’s taken you, both around the world and how you’ve grown as a person. What a great opportunity and the door that has just been opened to a wonderful career you’ve worked hard for.
Cool to hear from you Dylan, and thanks for the kind message! Aha I forgot about that, what a blast from the past - never been one to operate too conventionally 😅.
Wow! You’re made of tough stuff Ella, and you write brilliantly. The main theme that shone through to me is Mana, which you have in spades - and most definitely not just on the bike.
Canyon is so lucky to have you in this new role. Your article was enlightening and demonstrates a little of your strength, grounding and ability to think and communicate holistically.
Thanks so much for sharing. I think you’ve a very bright and exciting chapter to write in 2025 and I wish you the very very best. You deserve every success and I hope Canyon knows how lucky it is!
Yay.!! What an adventure ahead! It’s nice to get a little insight into the roles within a team outside of the athletes. Look forward to seeing you on the socials ✨
Congrats Ella! And hope to see you somewhere along a dirty Belgian cobbled road making cool videos (this time about other great riders) and maybe in some gravel event results list when body permits?
Congratulations! Sounds like 2025 is going to be great after a couple of crappy years. Thanks again for signing my print of you in Girona that my friend brought over!! lol And you’re an ace cyclist but luck want on your side so onwards and upwards I say!
Well, that was an epic read. I think it shows you as a determined and focused individual who have had their fair share of experiences. I’m really pleased that you’ll still be involved in cycling and the Canyon team will only be better for it. I hope 2025 & beyond bring you health and happiness.

Congrats, as just a random person watching your YouTube videos years ago, I always thought you should be hired to do just that ☺️

That's when Dad joined?!

Thank you, those sound like great ideas 🤝
Btw another idea/demand/appeal/beg; will you get the team on Bluesky?

Thank you very much Kate! That's the least I could do, gave me a break from the job hunting 💁♀️.
Exciting times ahead Ella. You’ve sure had your fair share of road blocks and speed bumps but this next journey sounds exciting. All the best!
Thank you Alice!
Great to hear Ella. Best of luck in the new role.
Thanks Brooke!
